    How would you rate the quality of health services?

    This indicator is based on a question surveying the quality of the national health care system. Respondents choose on scale of one to ten, with 10 being of very high quality and 1 being of very low quality. The other two non-numerical options are "don't know" and "refusal."

    Water productivity (GDP/Water Footprint)

    "The indicator illustrates the amount of economic value generated by unit of water consumption. It is calculated as GDP (in Purchasing Power Standards /PPS) divided by the Water Footprint (WF) of a country."

    Net social protection as a percentage of GDP

    "Net social protection benefits are defined as the value of social protection benefits excluding taxes and social contributions paid by the benefits recipients. They are complemented by the value of “Fiscal benefits” provided in the form of tax breaks that would be defined as social protection benefits, if they were provided in cash. Tax breaks promoting the provision of social protection or promoting private insurance plans are excluded.

    Foreign direct investment, net inflows (% of GDP)

    "Foreign direct investment are the net inflows of investment to acquire a lasting management interest (10 percent or more of voting stock) in an enterprise operating in an economy other than that of the investor. It is the sum of equity capital, reinvestment of earnings, other long-term capital, and short-term capital as shown in the balance of payments. This series shows net inflows (new investment inflows less disinvestment) in the reporting economy from foreign investors, and is divided by GDP."

    ODA - Environment sector, % total ODA

    The share of Official Development Assistance allocated to the Environment sector.

    The Environment sector refers to general environmental protection activities, i.e. environmental policy and administrative management, biosphere protection, bio-diversity, site preservation, flood prevention/control, environmental education/training, environmental research.This indicator is based on commitment data, which best reflect current policies by donors.
