    The indicator ´Landscape fragmentation´ is a measure of the degree to which movement between different parts of the landscape is interrupted by barriers. The more barriers fragmenting the landscape, the higher the effective mesh density.     The Innovation Union Scoreboard is an instrument of the European Commission, developed under the Lisbon Strategy and revised after the adoption of the Europe2020 Strategy to provide a comparative assessment of the innovation performance of EU Member States.
